Lets Talk!! We finally have a blog!!

Hello, and welcome to our very first blog! We're Cat and Brett, the couple behind Over the Moon Escapes, along with our four-legged mascot, Max Moon. If you've found your way here, chances are you're dreaming about a holiday. That's our favourite thing to talk about, so pop the kettle on and let us introduce ourselves.

How it all started

Travel has always been our passion. The first time we talked about launching a travel business was back in 2017 just after we got married. There was not as many ways to launch then but post covid whilst on our own holiday to the Maldives we talked again about it, and the decision was made from my sunbed!

Over the years we've planned everything from simple beach breaks to three-country adventures across Asia. Along the way we learned one thing above all: the best holidays aren't picked from a brochure. They're built around the people going on them.

What we do

We plan tailor-made holidays. That means we start with you – who's travelling, what you love, what you'd rather avoid and what you want to spend – and design a trip to match.

That might be:

A family holiday to Orlando, with the parks, the pool days and maybe a Disney cruise on top.
A honeymoon in Santorini, the Maldives or Bali, with the little extras that make it special.
A multi-centre adventure through Japan, Vietnam or Thailand, with the flights, trains and transfers all joined up for you.
A safari and beach combination in Africa, followed by lazy days on white sand.
A cosy festive break , from the Christmas markets of Europe to the snowy magic of Finnish Lapland.
A cruise , whether it's your first or your fifteenth.

Big trip or small, we give it the same care and attention.

We know our stuff. We spend a huge amount of time researching destinations, hotels and routes, so you don't have to spend your evenings with fifty browser tabs open.

We're real people. When you contact Over the Moon Escapes, you speak to us – not a call centre. We'll remember your name, your plans and the fact that your youngest hates long car journeys.

We're with you all the way. From your first message to the moment you're home, we're here. If a flight changes or something doesn't go to plan, we're the ones on the phone sorting it out, so you can get on with enjoying your holiday.

We travel ourselves. We don't just sell destinations; we go and see them. Our own trips, from Orlando and a Disney cruise to our upcoming adventure in Vietnam, mean we can give you honest, first-hand advice.

Meet Max Moon

No introduction would be complete without Max Moon, our much-loved family dog and official office dog and company macot. He doesn't come on the long-haul trips (sorry, Max), but he's a big fan of a dog-friendly UK break and has strong opinions about beaches. You'll see him pop up on our blog and social media from time to time.
